Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has launched a new global marketing campaign featuring Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo to commemorate the launch of the Non-Fungible Token (NFT).

The CR7 NFT Collection is the first in a series of publications commemorating Ronaldo's legacy. The NFTs, which will be available exclusively on the Binance NFT marketplace on Friday, feature seven animated sculptures depicting iconic moments from his career and are divided into four stages of rarity. The auction for the 45 most valuable NFTs will be open 24 hours a day, with bids starting at 10,000 BUSD for the five rarest NFTs.

Exclusive benefits for NFT Layers include a personal message from Ronaldo, signed merchandise, guaranteed access to future releases, and free "mystery boxes" for new signups.

According to Ad Age, the 60-second commercial was shown on television, digital, and social channels in 74 countries and 28 languages. The move comes after FTX, a fierce competitor to Binance, declared bankruptcy last week due to financial difficulties. Binance CEO Changpeng "CZ" Zhao, who had a long-standing feud with former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, briefly considered intervening to save FTX but ultimately canceled the deal.

While Binance did not directly address the FTX situation, it did offer a veiled thorn in the exchange's side. "There are bad actors in our industry, but it is critical to understand that there are creators and innovators on Web3 who are working hard to create valuable products and services," said He Yi, Binance Co-Founder and CMO.
