Non-fungible token (NFT) sales have fallen since the beginning of the year, with the top five markets accounting for more than $40 billion in total sales. Furthermore, Opensea NFT marketplace platform generated sales of more than $32 billion, as the NFT marketplace platform currently controls 79% of the top five NFT markets.
The biggest NFT markets exceeded $40 billion in all-time sales in October, with approximately $41.36 billion on October 29, 2022. $33 billion, with $32.76 billion recorded on December 7th.
According to dappradar.com statistics, $2.34 million traders generated $32.76 billion in sales. On Saturday, October 29, the average price paid for an NFT drops via Opensea was approximately $352.
Opensea is followed by Axie Marketplace ($4.26 billion), Magic Eden ($1.83 billion), Lookrare ($1.62 billion), and X2Y2 ($891 million). Axie Marketplace, which has 2.17 million traders on the market, is turning to NFTs derived from the play-to-win (P2E) blockchain game Axie Infinity.
The average cost of an NFT drop purchased through Axie Marketplace is around $171. Solana's Magic Eden sold for $1.83 billion, which was paid for by 1.21 million traders. On October 29, the average price for an NFT at Magic Eden was $124.
The records showed 107,636 transactions executed through the Lookrare market, indicating fewer traders in the NFT Lookrare market. On Saturday, however, the average price paid for an NFT is much higher, with the average NFT sale on Lookrare being $6.59k.
X2Y2 has yet to reach $1 billion in NFT sales, but it is well on its way. The X2Y2 NFT market settled for $891 million on October 29, 2022, with 158,273 traders. At the time of writing, the average price paid for an NFT on X2Y2 is around $582.78.
Mobox ($694 million), Solanart ($665 million), Bloctobay ($458 million), Atomicmarket ($435 million), Immutable X Marketplace ($337 million), and Rarible ($300 million) are the other top NFT markets in terms of all-time sales. Despite a significant drop in monthly sales, lifetime sales in the top five markets exceed $40 billion, indicating a tremendous success.
According to Cryptoslam.io, worldwide NFT sales in the last 30 days totaled $426 million, a 21.32% decrease from the previous month. Approximately 4,556,057 NFT transactions occurred in the last 30 days, with 510,859 NFT buyers.
