According to the NFT Price Floor, the floor prices for two of the most popular nonfungible tokens or NFT collectibles on the market, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and CryptoPunks, have dropped to 80 ETH ($96,646) and 48 ETH (57,990), respectively.

In comparison, the BAYC collection has an all-time high floor price of 153.70 ETH, while CryptoPunks has a floor price of 123 ETH. At the time of publication, the data aggregator was tracking 380 collections with a total market capitalization of $5.58 billion.

The sell-off in NFTs has been exacerbated in part by a warning from Gordon Goner, co-founder of Yuga Labs and owner of the BAYC and CryptoPunks collections, a day before, when he posted about a "imminent" attack on the network. accounts. social. operates under the company's umbrella.

The incoming attack is said to be powered by a Twitter insider who will assist in circumventing account security. Yuga Labs' social accounts had been hacked three times this year, including sophisticated phishing attacks that drained users of millions of dollars in NFTs. 

Meanwhile, according to DappRadar, the number of users on OpenSea.io, the largest NFT market by volume, has fallen 14% last month. At the same time, monthly trading volume dropped by 65% to $500 million. Interestingly, the number of transactions increased by 6.4 percent month over month, possibly due to a large number of users looking to sell their NFT collections for a higher price.
